About Collectakit
The Background of Collectakit:
 
Collectakit was created to help those wanting to sell collections of toys. Being collectors ourselves, we were in a good position to understand what fellow collectors wanted. We have been around since 1984 attending some of the premier toy fairs in the south east. Since the decline of the toy fair, we have switched our primary interest into the model club shows, but still maintain a foot in the toy fair circuit.

 
 
Collectakit Details
 
We have been open for business since 1984 but founder Patrick Lewarne's interest goes back to his youth. Patrick Lewarne's kit building began with a Kleeware Comet P47 in 1/48th scale, then on to an Airfix Ferguson Tractor.
This has sparked a life long passion for collecting different types of models from North American freight trains to the TSR2.
As his building and collecting grew, so did his appreciation for the models that were no longer in production. Which lead to the begining of Collectakit and its goal of being specialists in the Obsolete model kits and diecast models.
